Harm Reduction

Harm reduction supplies help prevent the spread infectious diseases, reduce overdose deaths, and improve community health outcomes, which benefits everyone in Shelby County.  These efforts lower healthcare costs and improve public safety for all Shelby County residents.

 

Some of the harm reduction supplies currently available at the Sidney-Shelby County Health Department include: Narcan, Fentanyl Test Strips, Covid/ Flu Test Kits, Hygiene Kits, Pregnancy Test Kits, Bike Helmets, and Gun Locks.  These are available during regular business hours: Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm.  These supplies are purchased entirely with grant funds and donations designated for this purpose.  No local tax dollars are used for this initiative.
