Health Promotion:

CAR SEAT SAFETY:
The Sidney-Shelby County Health Department has three car seat technicians who provide car seat safety to a parent when available by appointment to have the car seat checked for correct installation.

The Ohio Buckles Buckeyes program, administered by the health department, provides car seat education and a car seat, The recipient must be WIC eligible.

HEALTH FAIRS:
The SSCHD nursing staff provides health promotion activities at health fairs for schools or businesses. Please fill out the Health Fair Request Form and mail to:

BIKE HELMET SAFETY:
The Nursing staff have bike helmets available for no charge. The helmet is fitted by our trained staff, along with education on proper use. See the following great informational documents:  Bike Safety Tips, Kids and Bicycle Safety and Helmet Fit Test.
